Cassina shares its passion with Louis Vuitton for Charlotte Perriand and has launched a limited edition (only 1000 pieces worldwide available) of LC4 chaise longue designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand to honour this pioneering architect. Each of the 1000 pieces are marked with the phrase and progressive and limited numbering: “ Hommage de Cassina a Charlotte Perriand a l’occasion de la collection icons 2014 de Louis Vuitton 0001/1000 – 2014”.
Inspiration: The inspiration of this innovative tribute piece dates back to the photo of Charlotte Perriand relaxing on one of the first models of the chaise-longue with a self-supporting mattress attached directly to the frame.
Upholstery: The LC4 CP’s mattress – in natural, untreated Louis Vuitton saddle leather- has seamless edges with valuable and contrasting stitching.
Craftsmanship: Self supporting mattress: The leather mattress is attached onto the rear of the structure with a self supporting canvas and it is finished with a closing lining which is fixed to the chrome structure by means of springs.
