Still life
Artist name: Dandoy, Gilliam, 2023

Still life with fruit, glasses, a pipe, oysters and a crab  Oil on canvas : 52,0 X 65,1 cm Signed bottom left “G. Dandoy”  Frame : 66,1 X 79,5 cm Provenance : unsold at Dorotheum Vienna, 4/10/00 Estimate : 29.000 – 34.000 € (+ 20% buyer’s premium) The painting remained unsold as the Dorotheum experts erroneously identified the painter as “Jan Baptist Dandoy”, by whom not a single painting is yet known. They had for some strange reason misread the signature as “J. Dandoy”.
