The iconic ‘Non-Stop’ DS-600 sofa was designed in 1972 by Eleanora Peduzzi-Riva, Heinz Ulrich, Klaus Vogt and Ueli Berger for the Swiss manufacturer De Sede. This particular piece is upholstered in the original dark brown leather, combined with brown felt.
This model consists of the original configuration of 22 connectable elements, including two sections with armrests. Thanks to its clever system of zippers and pins, the modules can easily be joined together or separated.
The large number of elements allows the sofa to be arranged entirely to preference: from a straight setup to a playful, flowing or semi-circular shape. Due to this flexibility, the DS-600 is also known as the ‘Snake’ or ‘Tatzelwurm’.
The design is characterized by its organic forms and timeless appearance, making it not only a striking design statement but also exceptionally comfortable and versatile in use — a true design icon.
The condition is original and good, with a unique patina and signs of use consistent with its age. The sofa has been professionally restored and treated, but still shows light craquelure in some areas. On the back, on the felt sections, two elements show visible signs of wear in the felt.
