Magnificent baptismal font / holy water font in Carrara marble. Provenance Venice, private collection. Of high workmanship and quality, optimal as a piece of furniture both indoors and outdoors. It is composed of two distinct modules: a basin plus a column. The shape of the base is elegant, resting on a plinth with depicted ram faces. The basin is finely ornamented with showy acanthus leaves. Lot more unique than rare. Graceful marble veining and patina. Object of sporadic availability, exclusive. Lot is in very good overall condition. If shipped, it will be shipped with wooden crate so as to ensure its complete integrity.
